KoalaSave does NOT collect, store, upload, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) through the savings calculator. We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personal data to use the savings calculator. The only exception is our optional Contact page: if you choose to fill out that form, the name, email address, and message you submit are sent to us via a third-party email service so we can respond to you (see Section 3e below).
All financial goals, target amounts, savings progress, and calculator inputs you enter are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device. This data never leaves your computer or mobile device unless you choose to share it (e.g., by copying a share URL).
We do NOT have a server database. We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT share your data with third parties. All data stays on YOUR device.
Our Service uses the browser's localStorage technology to store your data, not traditional cookies. This is a standard web storage mechanism that allows websites to save data locally within your browser.

Important: localStorage data is tied to your browser profile on your specific device. Clearing your browser's site data or cache will permanently delete your savings goals. We recommend regularly noting down important goal information separately.

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies (or similar technologies) to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and browser type. The third-party services described above (including Google, Cloudflare, and Brevo) are based in, or operate servers located in, the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, these providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension, or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. KoalaSave is a general audience website and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the European Union / UK). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and Article 8 of the GDPR (which requires parental consent for children under 16), we do not and cannot collect personal information from any user, regardless of age, because our architecture does not include any server-side data collection capabilities.

Your data remains in your browser's localStorage indefinitely until you or your browser's storage management system removes it. We have no ability to access, modify, or delete your localStorage data. To remove all data stored by KoalaSave, simply clear your browser's localStorage for the koalasave.com domain in your browser settings.
